Match Report: St Johnston 1-14 Glenswilly 0-12

St Johnston produced a dominant display to see off Glenswilly in their opening Division 1 League fixture at St Johnston Park. Playing with a strong breeze in the first half, the hosts raced into an early lead thanks to points from Kevin Cassidy and Colm McFadden. Michael Murphy then struck for the game's only goal midway through the half, giving the home side a commanding 1-08 to 0-05 advantage at the break. Glenswilly rallied in the second half but could never get closer than five points as St Johnston managed the game expertly. Final Score: St Johnston 1-14, Glenswilly 0-12.

Senior Team Kick Off League Campaign With Impressive Win

St Johnston CC got their 2026 Division 1 League campaign off to a flying start with a comprehensive victory over Glenswilly at St Johnston Park on Saturday afternoon. Michael Murphy led the charge with a personal tally of 1-03, while Colm McFadden was in superb form from frees, slotting over five points. Kevin Cassidy also impressed with four points from play. The home side led by six points at the interval and never looked back, running out comfortable 1-14 to 0-12 winners. Next up is a trip to Letterkenny Gaels on March 22nd.
